Meet the Trainer

Our lead instructor is a National Rifle Association (NRA), United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA), Maryland State Police (MSP), Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Security Officers Management Branch (SOMB), and Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI) certified firearms instructor in basic pistol, concealed carry weapon (CCW), and home defense disciplines. He gained his experience with firearms first as an inspector with a national armed security company working in the DMV region. In addition to his role as an inspector, he worked as a protective services officer in the DMV for 10+ years. During his time as a protective service officer, he carried a .38 revolver and various semi-automatic 9mm pistols. Our lead instructor maintained firearms proficiency throughout his tenure and qualified with the use of pistols up to five times per year. He has experience training protective services officers, armed security personnel, and law enforcement officers in the tactical use and manipulation of firearms. He is trained in small arms tactics, such as close quarters battle (CQB), active threat response, CPR & First Aid, move/cover/engage, and situation de-escalation.
